Position Overview Butler Athletics is seeking an excellent team member who can provide outstanding customer service and manage the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Ticket Office. This person is part of the External Operations team that partners with numerous staff members to maximize fan experience and build revenue for the department.
Responsibilities: • Manage ticketed home events at Hinkle Fieldhouse and the Sellick Bowl • Responsible for creating and implementing a customer friendly purchasing process • Liaison with TicketMaster • Manage up to two part-time employees and numerous student and game day staff • Be an integral member of the External Operations team that works to increase student and fan experience • Collaborate with the Athletic Development staff to aid Bulldog Club membership efforts and utilize the Priority Points System • Coordinate production and distribution of season tickets and parking passes • Assist with neutral site, away game and postseason ticketing for all sports where applicable • Research, develop, and test mathematical models for sales forecasting • Responsible for weekly and game-by-game ticket sales reporting
Desired Outcomes: • Aid the Athletic Department’s growth as a leader in intercollegiate athletics • Meet or exceed the sales, attendance and customer service goals each year • Ensure all internal and external ticketing needs are met in a timely manner • Create efficiencies in our ticketing processes with an emphasis on helping the customer have a great experience • Write and communicate at a high level. Emails, letters and all other correspondence should be grammatically sound and free from errors • Represent Butler University and the Athletic Department in a positive and respectable manner
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor Degree from accredited University • Three (3) years of college athletics or professional sports ticket operations experience
Preferred Qualifications: • Three (3) years of college athletics or professional sports ticketing analytics experience • Positive balance and belief in The Butler Way • Proven ability to meet deadlines • Experience with TicketMaster Archtics • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of products • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service background • Self-awareness • Care about customer experience • Continuous learning mindset
