The Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics Department (PERA) is seeking an individual with experience in working within a community of diverse students and colleagues. Successful candidates will by their administrative, coaching, leadership or service demonstrate they can contribute to the diversity and excellence of athletics, the department and our community.
Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the program with a primary focus on coaching and recruiting sprinters, jumpers and hurdlers. Additional duties include leading preseason fall training, student athlete development, preparation for competition, fundraising and other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.
Strength & Conditioning Responsibilities: Assist the Director of Sport Performance and Fitness with the management of the strength and conditioning and fitness programs. Assist with all aspects of the day-to-day operations, supervision of staff, and the safety of the strength & conditioning facility spaces. Assist in the management of Strength & Conditioning for varsity student-athletes including design and implementation of progressive, periodized, sport-specific, strength, speed, and agility program for varsity teams. Assist with the development of preseason, in-season, and out-of-season training. Educate, supervise and demonstrate proper form and technique for student-athletes and provide modifications when necessary. Maintain accurate performance testing records.
Start date is immediate upon successful completion of the hiring process.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred and 1-3 years of work related experience. The successful candidate must have collegiate competitive or coaching experience, leadership, role modeling, organizational, and interpersonal skills and have an understanding of NCAA Division III regulations. Experience using Front Rush recruiting software a plus but not required. NSCA-CSCS, CPR/AED certifications required. The candidate should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and possess the ability to multi-task and work autonomously. Valid driver’s license and clearance to drive College vehicles required.
