The University of Arkansas at Monticello (www.uamont.edu/pages/resources/jobs) is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Athletic Director. This is a full-time, non-tenure appointment.
This position serves as Assistant Athletic Director and implements programs/initiatives for UAM athletics and will serve as administrative contact in the Athletic Director’s absence. Develops and implements a fund-raising program that meets established revenue objectives, which includes promoting the corporate sales and advertising program and coordinating fund-raising events and projects. Provides oversight and manage game day operations and promotions. Responsibilities: The Assistant Athletic Director reports directly to the Director of Athletics and the duties and responsibilities will be as follows: 1.Develops fund-raising strategies and action plans for UAM Athletics corporate sponsorship program. 2.Organizes and manages fundraising events in collaboration with UAM Advancement Office and the UAM Sports Association. 3.Produces monthly and annual revenue reports on all key performance indicators specified by the Athletic Director. 4.Develops all game day promotions, advertising, and fund-raising publications 5.Oversees the game day management team to ensure and promote game day atmosphere and efficient operation. 6.Monitors athletic facilities and appropriately responds to facility issues in a timely manner. 7.Works with the athletic director to develop and implement donor cultivation and stewardship events as needed. 8.Conforms to the highest standards of professional conduct regarding compliance with department and institutional policies and procedures and adherence to the rules and regulations of athletic governance organizations of which the institution is a member 9.Contributes to the maintenance of good working relationships with all staff, student-athletes, and external constituents through (a) a positive and constructive approach to all tasks, (b) respect for the competencies of others, and (c) appropriate conflict resolution behavior 10.Understands and supports the work of Academic Affairs in supporting student success initiatives and performance based funding model. 11.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree is required; master’s degree is preferred. A competitive background of playing or coaching athletics and/or fundraising experience in collegiate athletics or higher education is preferred. The ability to work, communicate, and develop rapport with students, faculty, administration, alumni, community groups, and media required.
