Missouri Southern State University, a NCAA Division II member institution and a member of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), is seeking applicants for the position Assistant Cross Country /Track and Field Coach. Specific responsibilities will be to assist the head coach in the areas of men’s and women’s sprint, hurdle, and multi-events. This includes but is not limited to; design and implementation of event-specific training, conditioning schedules, strength training, and injury prevention. Responsibilities will also consist of meet management for home cross country, indoor and outdoor competition. In addition, the candidate will work closely with the Academic advising for continued student-success. An emphasis in recruitment of sprints and hurdle athletes of both genders. This includes the planning and implementing official and unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes, and organizing visits with the entire staff.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3- years’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to meet insurance requirements for driving university vehicles.
