Niagara University invites applications for the Assistant Coach Women's Basketball 3. The Assistant Coach of the Women's Basketball team assists the head coach in all aspects of conducting a Division I women's basketball program. Contributes to the educational mission of the University by offering direction and instruction in the area of basketball athletics. Required qualifications include Bachelor degree or high school diploma with outstanding high level amateur or professional playing and/or coaching experience required. A minimum of one to three years of experience performing similar tasks is required. A valid New York State driver’s license is required that satisfies both University and insurance company underwriting rules and regulations for driving a motor vehicle. Must also be able to operate a motor vehicle in Canada. Desired qualifications include the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; Proficiency to handle various office machines including but not limited to: computer keyboard, computer software applications, calculator, copy machine and fax; Ability to receive telephone calls, respond to inquiries and communicate with others by telephone; Knowledge of and conformity to NCAA rules and regulations; Working knowledge of recruiting techniques and the ability to effectively use them; Ability to drive a personal or university vehicle for the purpose of university business; Successful completion of NCAA recruiting exam.
