The University of Akron, A Division I Institution and member of the Mid-American Conference is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. This position will primarily provide day-to-day care of our Women’s Soccer program. Additionally, the individual in this position will provide oversight to our Softball program.
•Provide athletic training services in the administration of health care to University athletes •Plan and oversee rehabilitation programs for injured athletes •Maintain comprehensive records of athletic injuries and treatments •Make referrals to and interact regularly with team physicians and other health care consultants
•Master’s degree and NATA Certification •Minimum of two years of experience of athletic training in a Division I college setting •Knowledge of human anatomy, exercise physiology and evaluation and rehabilitation techniques •Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and computer skills
