Southeastern Louisiana University invites applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Sports Performance for the Department of Athletics. The incumbent serves as a general wellness advisor for varsity athletes. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; experience and demonstrated success in a collegiate strength and conditioning program; a minimum of two years of experience as an Intern, Graduate Assistant, or Assistant Coach in a collegiate strength and conditioning setting; experience using computerized strength and office software; must be able to obtain certification through the National Strength and Conitioning Association (CSCS), Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches (CSCCa) certification, or USAW Sports Performance certification; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, knowledge of NCAA rules relevant to recruiting, nutrition supplements, and strength and conditioning; must possess good communication skills; and must maintain an understanding of an assure adherence to NCAA, Southland Conference, and Instititional rules and Louisiana Board of Supervisors regulations.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or a related field from an accredited university.
