The Sales Representative is responsible for assisting with the sale of football and men’s basketball season tickets and single and group ticket packages to area businesses, individuals, and local organizations. This is a 10-month paid internship position.
Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist with the sale of season tickets, partial ticket plans, and group tickets
At the direction of Director of Ticket Sales and an Account Executive, assist in the generation of season ticket revenue through the development and implementation of strategic ticketing programs, promotions, and sales strategies
In conjunction with the athletics marketing office, plan and coordinate group events (i.e., pre-game experiences, half-time performances, etc.)
Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activities regarding season tickets, groups and hospitality packages
Interact with customers to provide information and respond to inquiries, concerns and/or requests about tickets to Tulsa Athletics events
Provide the highest level of customer service through inbound and outbound sales calls
Work closely with Ticket Operations, Marketing, Communications, Game Operations, and Sponsorship teams to execute season ticket retention programs
Assist with game day or special event sales initiatives
Attend outside events with the purpose of selling ticket packages
Assist with other ticket sales-related duties as assigned
High school diploma or GED; strong work ethic and self-starter, organizational and time management skills and great attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively with the public in a professional manner; ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently; ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends and holidays. Computer skills: Database Applications, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word software.
