The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Director of Broadcast Engineering who will be responsible for providing broadcast engineering support during ACC Network broadcasts and scoreboard productions. Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) broadcast engineering during ACC Network events, in-venue scoreboard productions, and assisting with future technology and system design. Expertise in video production equipment and broadcast infrastructure/signal flow is required. The individual must be able to perform equipment repairs and maintenance and work with the Athletic Department’s IT staff to effectively manage local networks across multiple control rooms and venues. The individual will need to work independently and manage an equipment and freelance budget. The individual must be willing to travel and will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director of Broadcast & Video Production. A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of broadcast engineering is required, preferably in sports broadcasting. High School or Associates degree and years of experience exceeding 5-6 years may be substituted for degree requirement. The candidate must be able to operate and maintain video production equipment and be highly proficient in broadcast system design, signal flow, and infrastructure.
