Marietta College is an independent, selective, coeducational, residential, liberal arts college of 1,200 graduate and undergraduate students located in the historic river city of Marietta, Ohio. Marietta College is a member of NCAA Division III and the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC).
Marietta College seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of women's assistant rowing coach/instructor. The position is designed to provide future head coaches with a rich blend of coaching and administrative experience at a competitive NCAA, Division III private college. This is 10-month, administrative, full-time position and includes the following job duties:
Teach proper rowing technique and assess skill development
Instruct concepts of overall physical health, individual and team safety
Educate students on NCAA Division III rules and Marietta College Athletics Department Learning Outcomes
Recruit future student athletes who understand the demands presented by small-college, non-scholarship athletic programs
Monitor team members' academic progress
Duties specific to the administration of the athletic department may include, but are not limited to, game day administration, facility supervision, intramural planning and supervision, sports information assistance, and other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree and collegiate rowing experience
Ability to successfully impart knowledge and instigate learning in student athletes
Willingness to be team player in the athletic department and role model for athletes
Current valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check.
