Florida Institute of Technology is searching for an Assistant Golf Coach for the Athletics department. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in the organization and implementation of regular practice sessions, competitions, fundraising and community service projects
Act as supervisor/head coach representative in the absence of the head coach
Develop and teach strategies for motivating student-athletes to perform at maximum levels as both individuals and a team, while promoting the academic and athletic development of the student-athletes
Responsible for the upkeep of equipment and uniforms
Assist in all aspects of the recruitment process from inception to completion including: the development of recruitment plans, targeting potential student-athletes for recruitment purposes, and making recommendations
Assist with coordination and implementation of travel arrangements
Responsible for complying with the policies and guidelines established by the NCAA, Sunshine State Conference (SSC), University and Athletics Department for conducting a varsity sport
Education / skills required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school
Minimum of one year of college coaching experience
Knowledge of NCAA, Division II compliance rules and regulations desired
Good interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills preferred
Ability to work / travel afternoons, evenings and weekends is necessary * Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All international degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES). *Required certification or license must be uploaded when submitting application for employment.
