Duquesne University is accepting applications for an Associate Director of Ticket Sales & Operations. The primary responsibilities for this position include managing the day-to-day and game day ticket office operations, maintaining accurate revenue records and reconciliations, revenue growth through new business development, and serving as the primary contact for the Veritix ticketing system.

•Manage all ticketing operations including staffing, cash control, sales strategy and third party vendor relations
•Oversee the development and implementation of a ticketing sales plan for all ticketed sports and events that seeks to increase revenue and attendance through season, group and single game ticket sales
•Develop and implement ticket manifest including establishing prices, sales projections, packages and special offers
•Devise new initiatives for utilizing ticket database as well as creating an outbound sales plan that employs best practices, prospecting, networking, lead generation, referral gathering and data capture
•Control and monitor the distribution of complementary tickets, as directed by the Asst. AD Marketing & Branding, to balance revenue generation with attendance growth
•Provide assistance with phone inquiries and excellent customer service to fans as well as other departments within the campus community
•Supervises daily operation of ticket office, including hiring and training game day ticket sellers
•Manage Veritix ticketing system including database management, reporting, forecasting and financial reconciliation
•Maintains accurate ticket operation and revenue records, regularly reviewing to ensure accuracy and compliance
•Responsible for the preparation/distribution of season and individual game ticket reports
•Coordinate with Compliance office regarding NCAA rules and policies, including reporting requirements
•Coordinate with the business office for single game and season-long reconciliation reports
•Strong focus on analytics and evaluation of sales efforts
•Attendance at all football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball home games
•Assist with the ticket sales of all A-10 and NCAA events hosted by the department
•Occasional travel for major games, tournaments and postseason
REQUIREMENTS OF WORK
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of experience managing a Ticket Office and managing staff
Demonstrated success in growing ticket revenues
Knowledge of Veritix ticketing system including building seasons, events, and reporting preferred as well as other computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and weekends is essential
