University of Arkansas at Monticello Department of Athletics Graduate Assistant-Athletic Trainer
The University of Arkansas-Monticello, a Division II member of the Great American Conference, has a Graduate Assistant-Athletic Trainer position available. All applicants must be admitted into an approved graduate program. The successful candidate will work the University of Arkansas at Monticello as a non-benefits eligible staff member and be granted time for graduate course work and class attendance.
Responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for recognizing, treating, rehabilitating and providing emergency care and first aid for injuries and illnesses to our student-athletes. The Graduate Assistant-Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training coverage of practices and games (including evenings, weekends, and holidays). Travel with assigned teams will be required. Operate, supervise and maintain the athletic training facilities and equipment as required.
Qualifications: Must be a graduate from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program, BOC Certified or certification eligible, and have a CPR and AED certification. Must be admitted or eligible for admission into an approved graduate program of study at an institution of choice; and excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively and with diverse populations.
Compensation: Tuition and fee payment (at the applicable pre-approved rate); monthly stipend of $500; private residential room w/private entrance; and a 15 meals per week University meal plan. This is a non-benefits position on a nine month schedule with maximum employment not to exceed two years.
