Wichita State University, a member of the American Athletic Conference and sponsor of 15 Division I sports, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director of Equipment Services.
Job Description: This position is a management position, responsible for daily operation of the equipment room. This person must demonstrate the ability to interact and communicate with people. This is a 12 month position with full benefits.
Responsibilities: •May supervise graduate assistants, interns and student workers •Oversee ordering, inventory and issuance of equipment and apparel for all intercollegiate sports. •Oversee daily operation of equipment room. •Liaison with all apparel and equipment providers for athletic department. •All other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Operations
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; minimum 2 years full-time experience working in equipment operations at the NCAA Division I level; demonstrated experience with equipment software programs; must be detail oriented and possess effective verbal and customer service skills; must have demonstrated working knowledge of computers and be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required; background in repairs or maintenance helpful. Master’s degree preferred; successful experience with a department-wide apparel provider preferred.
