Siena College, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, located in Loudonville, NY, is seeking a part-time Head Women’s Water Polo Coach/Life Skills Coordinator. The coach will be responsible for the administration and organization of the program including, but not limited to, evaluation and recruitment of qualified student-athletes, planning and conducting practices, monitoring academic progress, skill development, coordinating services to the team with various department support area, scheduling games, and management of the program’s fiscal budget. The Life Skills Coordinator is responsible for working directly with the Director of Student-Athlete Engagement with regard to programming and NCAA speaker series selection.
Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a least one year of relevant experience are required. College coaching and/or playing experience preferred. A demonstrated ability to teach the skills of the game and strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are recommended. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license and insurability at the time of appointment and must maintain such license and insurability throughout the tenure of employment.
