Mount Holyoke College is accepting applications for the combined position of Novice Women's Rowing Coach and Equipment Manager. This is a part-time, hourly, ten month (August-May), benefitted position, with weekend and evening hours. Mount Holyoke is an NCAA Division III institution and competes in the NEWMAC conference. This position has dual reports to the Head Rowing Coach and Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities.
Responsibilities for the coaching position include, but are not limited to: recruiting and developing on-campus student-athlete talent; designing and implementing on-water and land training plans; assisting the head coach in all aspects of running a competitive collegiate rowing program, including recruitment of prospective student-athletes, travel and minor boat repair; working within NCAA Division III rules and promoting balance in an academically rigorous environment.
Principle job responsibilities for the equipment manager include, but are not limited to: supervision of all varsity sport equipment, varsity equipment upkeep, and varsity equipment maintenance; supervision of varsity team uniforms and inventories; liaison between MHC and Champions Choice/Adidas uniform and apparel vendor; and assisting the Associate Athletics Director for Facilities with duties as assigned.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license. Prior experience with collegiate athletics and managerial supervision is highly desirable. He/she should have high level collegiate rowing experience, demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and the ability to efficiently and effectively carry tasks out to completion. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required. Candidates should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
