McKendree University is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a graduate assistant coach for the men’s and women’s tennis team. Interviews will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Duties will include support in coaching, recruiting, practice and game organization and team operations, retention and administration.
Qualified applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and successful coaching, playing, and/or teaching experience is required.
Experience at the intercollegiate level is preferred. Acceptance to a Master’s program at McKendree University is required.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but not limited to:
•Assist head coach in conducting practices and scheduling matches.
•Assist in recruiting and assist in traveling to local USTA events.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of leadership and sportsmanship
•Adhere to all NCAA and GLVC rules and regulations.
•Coaches are expected to pass the NCAA recruiting exam.
•Graduate assistant will be expected to assist in study hall monitoring and academic progress evaluation in support to student success.
