Assist in coaching, recruiting, counseling, conditioning, and training the intercollegiate softball team at Rhodes College. Reports to Head Softball Coach. Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: Assist in coaching the softball team; utilize coaching and teaching methods to develop student-athletes’ skills and teamwork. Assist with the development of team strategy; analyze performance of student-athletes. Scout and recruit student-athletes. Assist in fundraising activities to subsidize athletic program; assist in marketing and public relations activities to promote the program. Counsel and advise student-athletes with personal and academic problems. May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis. Perform related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a pitching coach, or collegiate pitching/playing experience.
