Department of Athletics Compliance Responsibilities:
Serve as primary compliance contact for assigned sport teams and administrative units within the athletics department.
Provide rules interpretations on a daily basis to coaches, staff, athletics departmental offices, student-athletes, and other entities that are responsible for compliance with NCAA rules.
Monitor Bylaw 13 recruiting activities for all sports, including telephone calls, contacts and evaluations, and recruiting materials.
Process official and unofficial visits for all sports.
Manages complimentary ticket processes for all sport programs.
Directs and develops rules education program for assigned internal and external constituents.
Review all camps and clinics operations and advertisements in conjunction with the athletics business office.
Assist with oversight of graduate assistant duties and provide regular performance feedback.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and related experience equal to eight years. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
Experience having served in a full-time compliance role at a Division I institution, in a Division I conference, or with the NCAA.
Possess a working knowledge of and compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and legislation.
Experience using various computer programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, LSDBi, Compliance Assistant, AMA Online, compliance/recruiting software systems).
Experience demonstrating effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills; ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies and a diverse population; critical thinking and problem solving aptitude; organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines; conscientious customer service; initiative and an ability to work flexible hours (occasional evening and weekend assignments); ability to work independently.
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position. Schedule Must be flexible on work hours, including availability for early morning & evening hours, as well as weekends.
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
