Marietta College seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach/Instructor. This position is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in managing all phases of an NCAA Division III women's basketball program with specific responsibilities as outlined below: Understand, support and embody team's overarching philosophy as developed by Head Coach. Coach position group as assigned by head coach using individual skill and team development techniques. Assist planning practice. Assist game planning for each opponent. Scout opponents by analyzing video. Assist in recruitment by: update database, send out mailings, provide weekly recruiting schedule, regular contact and correspondence with qualified prospects. Teach a 1-credit skill class in each semester. Perform athletic department duties as assigned by the athletic director. Such duties may include: game day management, facility supervision, intramural supervision, sports information assistance or other.The job incumbent is expected to uphold the high professional standard of conduct expected of each person on campus and outlined in our Employee Handbook. The job incumbent is also expected to build positive interpersonal relationships in and out of the athletic department by attending College functions (both social and professional), staff meetings, faculty meetings, serving on committees, etc.
A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred.
Intercollegiate playing experience.
Valid driver's license and a driving record that would allow the job incumbent to be insured by the College's liability carrier.
Strong interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.
