Under the general supervision of the Director of Video Services, Assistant Director of Video Services and the direct supervision of the Senior Broadcast Specialist, this position coordinates all video streaming for athletic competitions and special events for the University of Wisconsin Athletics.60%Coordinate all video streaming for athletic competitions and special events.20%Provide video related technical support to students and staff.20%Assist the video department with other duties as assigned.
Extensive knowledge of audiovisual methods, mediums and techniques used for live video production.
Knowledge of how to operate different cameras, switchers, replay and graphics machines.
Knowledge of Adobe software to create videos and graphics.
Extensive sports knowledge.
Experience with website content management systems.
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to accomplish projects under tight time constraints.
Must be knowledgeable of rules and regulations of the Big Ten, NCAA, WCHA, and Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and how these apply to Video Services.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit at a terminal and operate a computer for long periods of times, possibly several times a day.
Ability to bend, stoop, walk, and climb frequently; ability to stand in one place for up to three hours; and ability and endurance to work extended days.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License or have the ability to obtain one upon appointment and meet and maintain State driving requirements.
