|
The University of Akron is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Ticket Sales. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement ticket sales strategies for groups and organizations that are targeted prospects for purchasing season and single game tickets to select University of Akron athletic events including; football, men and women’s basketball and men’s soccer. • Sales will be developed and solicited through in person connections with individuals, organizations and groups. • Director of Ticket Sales will be responsible for researching and identifying prospective customers, making connections, cultivating relationships, soliciting and fulfillment of sales. • Director of Ticket Sales will work in conjunction with the Athletics Marketing department to sell theme nights and ticket packages to select events. • Oversight and management of the following staff positions: Assistant Director of Ticket Sales Graduate/Student Assistant(s) for Ticket Sales (as applicable)
Budgetary Responsibilities • Responsible for working with the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director to establish and present a balanced budget prior to each fiscal year. • Responsible for the submission of monthly Commission Sales reports for Ticket Sales Unit and applicable employees.

Requirements |

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and one year ticket sales experience required. Compensation Package: Salary plus sales commission and bonus structure.
