WELLESLEY COLLEGE Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics Department

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF THE PRACTICE and HEAD SOCCER COACH & ASSISTANT SQUASH COACH

Wellesley College is seeking a Head Women’s Soccer and Assistant Women’s Squash Coach/Assistant Professor of the Practice position. This is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment that reports to the Director of Athletics/Chair of Physical Education, Recreation. This individual will also teach within the Physical Education Curriculum. The head coach responsibility includes leadership and organization of all aspects of the program including the supervision of assistant coaches, recruiting, conditioning and training of student-athletes. The responsibilities as the Assistant Squash Coach involve on court instruction, match coaching, and facilitating conditioning and recruiting.

Candidates must demonstrate their commitment to coaching, teaching and recruiting at an NCAA Division III, nationally prominent women’s college with highly selective academic standards.


Requirements
Qualifications include: Master’s degree required in physical education or related field; minimum of five years of soccer coaching at the college level and college level squash coaching experience required; CPR and AED certification, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, USSF B License or equivalent Soccer coaching certification required; successful recruiting experience at highly selective NCAA Division III institution; experience directing and coaching soccer and/or squash camps and clinics is preferred; experience teaching Physical Education courses required; and excellent interpersonal skills.
