Job Description

THE BEST SUMMER OF YOUR LIFE!! CAMP STARLIGHT, a wonderful, co-ed sleep-away camp in the Pennsylvania (2 ½ hours from NYC) is currently hiring an experienced and qualified individual to run our extensive and extremely popular swim program and oversee all aspects of our waterfront. We offer a great salary with a private room and board included. Dates of camp are June 14th - August 15th. This job is for someone who wants to have the experience of a lifetime and a summer position unlike any other!

Some aspects of the Waterfront Director position would include:

Oversee the swim instruction of all age, interest and skill levels and the opportunity to develop all activity lesson plans.

The management of all instructors in your charge (they would be college-aged students; usually a total of 15 instructors).

Organizing and coaching inter-camp meets and games.

Safety and well being of all campers and staff in your area.

Requirements

Qualifications include LGT certification from a nationally recognized body and a minimum of 2 years experience lifeguarding and instructing 2 or more of the Waterfront/Sports areas. LGTI or WSI preferred. Previous supervisory experience and training preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age.
