Job Description
Stony Brook University invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Marketing and Ticketing Operations. Stony Brook is an NCAA Division I member and competes in the America East Conference. The Coordinator of Marketing and Ticketing Operations will manage the overall ticket operation for the Department of Athletics and assist in the marketing and promotions areas with the primary objective of increasing attendance and ticket revenue for athletic events. This position will be responsible for the development and execution of annual season ticket and group ticket plans in football, basketball, and lacrosse. In addition, this position will also assist in developing and implementing annual marketing plans for all intercollegiate teams as well as provide support for all promotional activities associated with these plans. This position will coordinate all ticket allocations and distributions, reconcile all ticket accounts, and oversee all Athletics event ticket sales and operations including event staffing as it specifically relates to the ticketing operation. Additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Athletics for External Services. This position is also responsible for supporting the philosophy, goals, and mission of both the University and Athletic program as well as adherence to Departmental, University, Conference, and NCAA policies and procedures.

Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree, two years of full-time experience in the programming of activities as well as excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills. In addition, selected candidates must possess advanced computer skills including experience with desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office. Evening, weekends, and some travel required. Must have, keep, and maintain the appropriate valid N.Y.S. driver’s license; have a motor vehicle record free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. Applicants must submit their operator’s license number on their application form for a motor vehicle check.

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or sports management. Previous experience with computerized ticketing systems and work experience in collegiate athletics, professional athletics, or corporate sports marketing are also preferred.
